1.
Enlisting and recruitment
The minimum age for registering on the website and getting access to the
member’s part of the forum 18 years. For people above this age it is also
requested to show a grownup manner when acting as a member.
When registering to ultimately become an active WASP member with tag, please
note that most of the time you will be lead. Therefore you must be able to be
obedient and accept orders. If your not willing to follow orders, please do not
apply!
The minimum age for being recruited as an active member of WASP squad is 30
years. The recruiting officer will perform an initial evaluation of each
potential new member to check their credentials and suitability. Special
attention is given to teamplay / teamwork and the willingness to contribute to
the well being of the squad.
After a positive evaluation a two week probation starts and the recruiting
officer will officially inform the rest of the squad.
After the first two weeks probation a decision is made by the squad leader and
recruiting officers to award or deny the WASP tag to the potential member.
Once the new member receives his or her tag, another two weeks probation starts.
This probation period is intended for checking the input and activeness of the
member. Getting the WASP tag is not an end, but just the beginning!
Your tag: Treasure it and wear it with pride, you will only receive it once!
Don't ever smudge or discredit it !!!
2.
Teamplay
There are three essential mottos that together form the core of the squad.
Discipline
All actions a member does for and on behalf of WASP must be done with
discipline. Always think of what you are doing and what effect it will have.
Loyalty
The word loyalty is most of all a feeling which comes from the heart. In
everything you do, you must hear, feel, breath and live WASP.
Dedication
Real dedication for the squad is best shown through doing additional work for
the squad. The squad cannot survive without all members doing supportive tasks
(be it large or small) to keep the various parts of the squad active. It is
mainly time and effort which you are asked to invest.
3.
Communication
Each member of the WASP squad must use the following methods for communication
within the squad.
- The WASP Website (http://www.wasp-squad.com)
- The WASP Squad Forums
- MSN (Microsoft messenger)
- Teamspeak
All members must use the forum for the main communications. Especially for
important, interesting or informative information, the forum is the ideal place
as the most people will be able to use this information.
The two primary uses of Teamspeak are:
- Team communication during game play
- Squad communication during training and meetings.
The secondary use of Teamspeak is social conversations between members.
These social conversations must not impede the primary uses of Teamspeak and
members are requested to change to a separate channel for their social
ramblings.
4.
Language used
The universal communication language within the WASP squad is English ( The
quality of the English used is however not paramount)
In a small group from the same country, another language may be used for short
conversation. However, when someone else arrives, the language should
immediately switch back to English. Nobody should be feeling left out.
5.
Social behaviour
Any discrimination because of race, religion, politics etc. is strictly
forbidden.
- Do not pick on someone
- You should not ask for respect, but you should give respect to your friends in
the squad. As friends you always return the favour.
- You will only receive what you give in the first place!
Members must join training, meetings and missions with a clear state of mind,
focussed on the task ahead. People with a clouded mind (due to various
circumstances) are expected to leave or stay away as not to be a nuisance to
others. They may return when they are focussed again.
All WASP members must treat guest and allied squads on the server with respect
and good manners. You are after all the first impression a guest gets from the
squad.
6.
Loyalty to the squad
You are not allowed to be a member of another squad, while in WASP. To be
clearer: You cannot be a dedicated and loyal member of 2 squads simultaneously.
WASP's motto is "Ab Imo Pectore" which translates to "From ALL my heart" (c.q.
from the bottom of my heart) For this loyalty you can only be focussed to a
single squad.
7.
Commitment
WASP members are expected to make contact with the squad once every week as a
minimum. This can be done via the available communication methods of the squad.
If a member knows that he or she is unable to show up for a certain period of
time, this must be announced in advance in the “off duty members ” section
within the forum.
8.
Squad leadership
DUK-WASP is the founder of the WASP squad, he is the squad service provider for
essential tools of the squad, and has up to now been the squad leader of the
WASP squad.
The squad leader is responsible for daily management of the squad and its
members. He maintains contacts with the various departments within the squad and
is also responsible for resolving conflicts and taking appropriate action.
Every squad leader must have the trust and loyalty of the whole squad.
In order to secure the continuity of the squad and to have the widest possible
support, it has been decided that the position of squad leader is made available
via election. This election will take place every year.
9.
Punishment and reward.
Every action you take as a WASP member, may it be in a game, on teamspeak or on
the website, will be evaluated for it’s effectiveness, thoughtfulness and
result. Actions that are profitable for both member and squad will result in
rewards. Actions that harm both member and squad will result in appropriate
punishment. Rewards come in the form of promotions.
Punishments come in the form of warnings, time-outs, degradations or ultimately
a rejection from the squad.
If a decision is made to degrade or to reject a member, than the member can
object by contacting the squad leader and giving a statement with supporting
arguments.
This objection will be taken into consideration and will be accepted or
rejected.
10.
Punishment rules.
During game play you can be asked to take a time-out (chill out time)
The ultimate consequence can mean you are requested to leave the squad, or
failing that a subsequent ban.
The new rules are not meant to change any of the existing rules but they provide
additional guidance where the need existed and must enhance specific points and
make certain areas clearer.
The squad policy will always stay the same. If the need arises however, due to
needs or past experience, the rules will be modified.
